The FR-12 Crusher can be used as a classic Hammer Mill for crushing cereals, herbs, pulses or any other non-oily materials, or as a pre-crusher for reducing products that have to go through further processing into smaller sizes. The product enters the milling chamber where it is struck repeatedly at high speed by oscillating hammers that crush the product. While the product cannot fit through the screen holes, it stays inside the milling chamber and continues to be milled. The size of the screen holes is chosen based on the product’s desired granule size. The milled product falls into the lower outfeed hopper and is then transported on a pneumatic conveyor to a silo or bag.
The casing and the infeed and outfeed hoppers are made from continuous wire electro-welded and painted carbon steel (the entire machine can be made from stainless steel upon request). It comes complete with a painted and folded sheet metal support stand. It is powered by a three-phase electric motor at a power output between 1.1 and 4 kW with a rotating speed chosen depending on the use of the machine. It can also be installed with 250 or 400 Volt double-pole motors.
The rotor is formed of 12 oscillating stainless steel hammers that can be used on all 4 cutting edges for a greater service life. The hatch is hinged so it can be fully opened, allowing easy access to the milling chamber for normal cleaning and maintenance operations.
A micro safety switch is also mounted onto the hatch, which stops the machine from working when the hatch is open or when it is accidentally switched on during maintenance or cleaning operations.
